I love faeries.
I love the lore and legends.
Fairies have magic powers which perform both good and bad deeds. They can fly, change shape and make themselves invisible to human beings. Most fairies are usually helpful, but there are several who behave mischievously and occasionally act cruel.
Faeries are said to hold special magical powers and protect the "earth". There are Garden Faeries which protect the flowers and plants, Faeries which protect the animals and wildlife and Faeries which protect and guard the newborn. Hence, the story of Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" when the 3 Faeries presented their "gifts" to Aurora: The gift of song, the gift of beauty, and the gift of protection from the evil faerie, Maleficent.
